Basil ‘Red’ (Ocimum basilicum L.) is a type basil with a long distinct reddish-purple leaves and aroma. Its flavor is more intense. Its leaves are used in salads and pasta dishes, additionally it makes an excellent vinegar. The flavor pairs well with fish, poultry, rice, mild vegetables, eggplant and many others. Red Basil is an antioxidant with good anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties.
You can take me out of the nursery, and put me in the growing chamber after: 10-15 days
